Department of Communication Studies Michael Brydges began teaching Speech Communication courses at Cypress College in Fall 1998. Prior to teaching at Cypress College, Michael worked as a part-time instructor at various Southern California colleges and universities since the Fall of 1988. In addition, Michael also worked as a Project Coordinator for a local Import/Export business in the Los Angeles area.
Professor Brydges earned his Masters and Bachelors degrees in Speech Communication from California State University, Los Angeles. Michael is the co-author of several ERIC published papers including, Effective Teaching in the Multi-cultural classroom, published by Educational Resources Information Center.
Since coming to Cypress College, he has served as an Assistant Director of Forensics, a mentor for the Puente Program, a member of the Cultural Diversity Committee, Coordinator for the Peer Assisted Learning Program, and as Academic Senate President for the 2004 - 2005 year.
