Linda Borla teaches English composition, literature, film, and humanities
at Cypress College. She also coordinates the Writing Center and has a special
interest in educational technology. Actively involved in the Semester Abroad
Program, she taught in Florence, Italy in Fall 2000 and plans to go to Spain
in 2002. As a member of the Board of Directors for United Faculty, she publishes
the union's newsletter. Besides ten years of community college teaching experience,
she has worked as an editor in educational publishing, co-authored Editor
in Chief, a grammar and critical thinking text, and published hundreds of
articles as a freelance journalist. She holds a M.A. in English and a B.A.
in Humanities from California State University, Sacramento, as well as an
ESL certificate from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
